Clone Sequence Status
All the maize clone sequences presented on the browser are downloaded from the public GenBank repository. The clones are associated with sequencing status, encoded within their GenBank submission record as a reserved keyword. The status describes the stage of sequencing and reflects the quality of the sequence (HTGS_FULLTOP clones are of lower quality, HTGS_IMPROVED are of higher quality). The following table describes the distribution of clones at different sequencing stages, and indicates the number of clones available at GenBank and on this portal.
